Is a painter born in the north of the Netherlands.
Creating her work solo, mainly outside ‘en plein air’, after nature, alla prima. Honest and direct work in oil on canvas.
Margreet Boonstra studied at Minerva Arts Academy – Groningen and received her diploma 1993 . Trained by artists as Matthijs Röling, Wout Müller she’s considered to be one of the Noordelijke Realisten.
In 2014 she was accepted as member of the “North German Realists” group. (Norddeutsche Realisten)
She works at home and abroad and regularly exhibits throughout the country and beyond, several works are included in Private, Museum- and Corporate collections.
